Oushak Carpet

This spectacular Oushak carpet is as good as it gets. Woven in the last quarter of the 19th century, it would fit equally well in homes with both modern and traditional furniture. Fine hand spun wool and natural dyes are combined to create a carpet with a restrained repeating palmette design, all framed by an equally elegant border. Note the soft terracotta background with lots of light blue, green and burnt orange in the details. This is a very decorative carpet in a very good size.

Condition: Some restoration has taken place in my own workshop but to a very high standard. Professionally cleaned and ready for immediate use.
