Early Brussels Tapestry Panel

Dating to around 1550, this lovely old Brussels tapestry panel depicts a scene from a boar hunt, a well-known theme in Renaissance tapestry. Two figures in the foreground have trapped two boars, trees and architectural images to the background. Although restored, the image conveys the mood of the age, and would make a wonderful additional to a period or even contemporary decorative scheme. Lined and with a new plain border. Velcro has been sewn to the rear and it is ready to be hung.
