Veramin

This long rug has a border which echoes Qashqai designs and a central field crammed with motifs of a Kurdish influence. Three large diamonds with a bright floral design run down the centre and are joined by smaller diamonds which are flanked by large stars at each end. I love the variety of floral designs that surround the diamonds and their contrast to the indigo field. This is a rug that has a lifetime of interest in it and one would always be noticing elements hitherto unseen. Therein lies the magic of a good rug.

Condition: Good condition with a few repairs and the ends have some loss but are stabilised.
