East Anatolian Kurdish
A very good example of the type, these rugs formerly called Yuruks are of Kurdish origin and have a very distinctive palette which includes a soft orange, some sublime blue shades and a cochineal red. The pile is always long and the wool soft and silky. They are often quite misshapen and prone to having tension folds due to their soft wool foundations. I have a soft spot for East Anatolian rugs and have owned quite a few to date. This is one of the best without doubt, a beautiful floppy rug with a great look.
