17th Century Indo-Poutuguese embroidery
A stunning embroidery made in India for the Portuguese market. Silk on linen, featuring an incredible range of animals and hoses with riders. The central sun with the double headed eagle and a border of birds carrying twigs in their beaks. Everywhere you look there are wild animals, some real some imaginary, elephants, birds even crabs!
