One of the greatest Ziegler carpets! Made to suit Western tastes by the Anglo-Swiss firm of Ziegler and co, these were exceptional carpets then and are still wildly popular over 100 years later. This beautiful example not only has the much coveted ivory field and large, elegantly drawn field of animated medallion palmettes but also a broad, ivory border.
