A Set of Hand Painted Silk Panels
This intriguing set of painted panels on satin silk have a signature, which unfortunately I have yet to decipher. However, there is no doubting their beauty and decorative appeal. Each panel is a representation of the same geometric forms first deconstructed and then reconstructed. The ends are then framed in complementary stripes and small squares. Each panel has its own individual character, but they work superbly as a complete composition. The colours are subtle and harmonious beginning with the champagne pink background to each panel, and the shades of aubergine, terracotta, light browns and oranges. In excellent condition, with very light staining in one or two places. They are framed in gold coloured metal with attractive rounded corners. The height of each is 170cm, and the width is 64cm. The price for the set is £7500.
