Ali Helabad hails from a family with a strong heritage in the Persian carpet business stretching over several generations.
Ali moved to the United Kingdom in 2001, where he began his career at the famous antique rug specialist Bernardout & Bernardout (Pimlico Road, London) in 2002, and later with ABC Carpets, which had a franchise in Harrods.
In 2010 he established Nomadic Rugs Gallery in London, where he continues to build on his extensive expertise from Iran and United Kingdom offering a selection of antiques, vintage and contemporary Persian and oriental carpets.
